SANTA BARBARA, Calif. Isla Vista residents and  UCSB students, Monica Bridle (right) and  Genevieve McCarty grieve after placing flowers at memorial near site four people dead over the weekend.  A University of California, Santa Barbara student has been arrested on suspicion of vehicular manslaughter and felony drunken driving after a speeding car careening down a quiet street killed four people officials said Saturday. A fifth person suffered serious injuries late Friday night during the incident in the small community of Isla Vista in suburban Santa Barbara.â David Edward Attias, 18, was being held at the Santa Barbara County Jail, said California Highway Patrol Officer Mike Muell. Authorities did not release the results of a blood-alcohol test given to Attias after the accident.â The pedestrians were struck shortly after 11 p.m. Friday. Three males and one female were pronounced dead at the scene.
